History, culture and parks
Some of the tours which have been requested so far include:

Elmina Castle, Cape Coast, is. a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1482. This castle was the first European structure in sub-Saharan Africa. The stories behind many castles are some of the worst aspects of colonial expansion.
Cape Coast Castle is another restored UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was one of the departure points for Africans being sent to the Americas. The castle is home to the infamous Door of No Return.
The independence of Ghana was granted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1957 and Ghana is an important and enduring member country of the Commonwealth of Nations. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first premier, is entombed near Black Star Square. Black Stars is Ghana's Soccer Team, proudly bearing their national symbol.

Independence Square (also known as Black Star Square), home of Independence Arch and the Flame of African Liberation. Below is the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial, the mausoleum of Ghana’s first President, not always admired in his lifetime but a national hero now. Dr. Nkrumah was once held in Fort Usher, Usher Town, Accra, a former prison, and was exiled after Ghana's first military coup of 1966. Such was life in West Africa in those days, especially if you fell out of favour with the military. However, many of his aspirations are honoured now and former President Rawlings claims him as the shining example of Ghana's great past.

Theatre (Theater) & Cultural Events in Accra
- The Centre for National Culture: (High Street, Accra). The main centre for cultural activity in Accra.
- National Theatre: - for concerts.
- School of Performing Arts (University of Ghana, Legon) - for drama, poetry and cultural dancing
- Ghana film theatre and Executive Film house - for ghana and foreign films
National Parks are found in many areas of the country. They include animals such as monkeys, elephants and ostriches, depending on the region. There are parks for plants and trees too - Aburi Park in Accra is a favourite with visitors. Aburi Park overlooks the city of Accra from the North, and is a hillsite with mature forest trees.
